Delegation from the Institute for Information Industry in Taiwan Visits UEC, Prof. Sogabe Receives the STI A* Award | 曽我部研究室 SogabeLab 国立大学法人電気通信大学│AI 人工知能 量子

On Wednesday, December 25, 2024, a delegation from the Software Technology Institute (STI) of the Institute for Information Industry (III) visited UEC. The delegation included Director Mingzoo Wu (Ph.D.), Associate Planner Jamie Chang, and Project Consultant Alice Pai. During their visit, Prof. Sogabe was presented with the STI A* Award plaque in the presence of UEC Directors Hajime Nishioka and Kazuaki Oya.

UEC and III signed an Academic Exchange and Cooperation Agreement (MoU) in November 2024. Prof. Sogabe attended the ceremony held at the “STI Tech Day 2024” forum hosted by III, where he delivered an invited lecture, which was highly acclaimed, and he received this award.

Prof. Sogabe invited the III STI delegation to his lab and introduced his current research together with his students, and then discussed the details of a future cooperative relationship.
