On Saturday, May 31, 2025, Professor Tomah Sogabe participated as a panelist in the international seminar “4UniverCity Futures” held at the Italy Pavilion of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan.
Professor Sogabe and Executive Board Director Oya were officially invited to the event as key figures promoting the MoU between the University of Electro-Communications (UEC) and the University of Milano-Bicocca, with Professor Sogabe representing UEC on the panel.

The seminar was hosted by the University of Milano-Bicocca as part of MUSA (Multilayered Urban Sustainability Action), a joint initiative led by four leading universities in Milan: the University of Milano-Bicocca, the University of Milan (Statale), Politecnico di Milano, and Bocconi University.
With the theme “Urban regeneration and sustainability starting from university districts,” the event gathered experts from universities and companies in both Italy and Japan.
Representing UEC, Professor Sogabe delivered a presentation featuring a dynamic overview of the university’s key initiatives.

Following the seminar, UEC representatives met Gabriella Pasi of the University of Milano-Bicocca to exchange ideas on future programs aimed at strengthening institutional collaboration. The discussion helped foster a shared understanding toward potential joint initiatives between the two universities.
