On November 18, 2025, Prof. Tomah Sogabe from the University of Electro-Communications (UEC) delivered a keynote speech at the 2025 STI TECH DAY held in Taipei, Taiwan.

The forum was hosted by the Institute for Information Industry (III), a major national research organization promoting digital innovation in Taiwan. This marks Prof. Sogabe’s second consecutive keynote appearance at this forum, following his talk in 2024.

Prof. Sogabe’s presentation, titled “AI-based Real-time Anomaly Detection: Principle and Industrial Application,” explored advanced approaches to threshold setting and anomaly detection, which are critical in automated systems where real-time decision-making and fault resilience are essential.
